Last summer I was asked by Select
International to lead a tour to France based on my popular book
St
Benedict and St Therese. The tour is fixed for March 24
through April 2 2008. We are going to have a fantastic time, and
I hope you will be able to join us. We fly from Newark to Paris,
and after visiting the wonderful medieval cathedral of Chartres
we go to the edge of Normandy to the Benedictine Abbey of Bec Hellouin.
From there we’ll visit Lisieux, the home town of St Therese.
We’ll go on through Normandy to visit Bayeux to see the cathedral
and the famous Bayeux tapestry. We’ll visit the D-Day beaches
and memorials and go on to the fabulous monastery of Mont St Michel.
We’ll visit other famous Benedictine
monasteries throughout France including the famous abbey of Solesmes
and St Benoit sur Loire, where the relics of St Benedict are venerated.
I’ve traveled through this part of France many times during
the years I was living in England. This is more than just a tour
of France. We’ll have Daily Mass in the beautiful cathedrals
and Abbey Churches, we’ll be joining the monks for Benedictine
worship, and we’ll have regular retreat seminars on the lives
of St Benedict and St Therese based on my book.

I’ve also been asked to organize a
trip to Italy based on my upcoming book, How to Be a Spiritual
Hero. We’ll travel to the sites of the great saints and
study how St Francis, St Benedict, St Clare and others have lived
out spiritual adventure and how we can learn from their lives. If
you’d like to know more about this trip which may take place

In addition to being a conference speaker,
I’m often asked to lead retreats across the country. I offer
retreats for young people called How to Be a Spiritual Hero.
We look at film clips and see how various film heroes go on their
adventure, and then we apply the lessons to our own spiritual lives
through creative activities. In addition to this I lead more conventional
retreats on the way of Benedictine spirituality, the little way
of St Therese, and retreats based on the life and writings of C.S.Lewis
